What Does
This Mean
To authentically be the church means to be honest with ourselves and others about our sinfulness and brokenness, our hurts and our hang-ups. We are a hospital for sinners, not a museum of saints. The good news is that God has done for us what we could never do for ourselves. He has redeemed and reconciled us to make us a part of his family, the church. This good news isn’t a secret to be kept but a message to be shared. We reach out to a broken and hurting world with this message of grace and forgiveness that is also demonstrated through our actions in love and service to others.
